Festival Administrator

Starting salary £18 -£20k depending on experience

The world’s first and Europe’s largest public celebration of science takes place over 12 days in April, with a unique programme of events presenting science in an accessible, fun and contemporary way. We are currently going through a programme of growth and we are looking for bright, energetic and committed administrator to join our team.

You will help to plan and deliver a wide range of events and play an important role in one of Edinburgh’s major Festivals. You will be very organised, have excellent computer skills and a strong customer focus. Microsoft Office skills are essential, particularly knowledge of MS Access.

You will develop good relationships with event providers, local science based visitor attractions, publishers, venues and Council departments.

Edinburgh Festivals’ HR Forum

Edinburgh Festivals Training Advisor - Contract

Fee: £1,500

The Edinburgh Festivals’ HR Forum was established jointly among the leading Edinburgh festivals to share information and to pursue activities in the areas of Human Resources, professional development and employment law identified as pertinent to the Festivals.

There are many areas of professional development and training need common to the Festivals. In this context, the Forum wishes to appoint a Training Co-ordinator/ Advisor to undertake a comprehensive analysis of training needs across the various festivals.

The piece of work is envisaged as a fixed-term contract tasked with identifying the HR training and professional development needs of each individual festival organisation and devise an appropriate programme of training and development activities in support of all Festivals’ staff.
