Gift Aid

Gift Aid - What is it?

  • Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity. Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you pay to a charity they will receive an extra 28p from the Inland Revenue.
  • Whenever you give a donation to charity, you can use Gift Aid to help your money go further.
  • Gift Aid is now available to charitable attractions that accept donations from visitors who are UK tax payers. Eligible organisations that are participating in the Gift Aid scheme will display the Gift Aid logo.

Gift Aid - How does it work?

  • Gift Aid applies to charitable donations of any amount.
  • If you are a UK taxpayer, all you have to do is agree to opt in to Gift Aid at stage 3 of the shopping basket.*
  • If you are not resident in the UK for tax purposes you are not eligible for Gift Aid.*
  • Higher rate taxpayers can also reclaim tax from any charitable donations made by including details on their tax form.
