Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a government initiative which allows charitable organisations to reclaim basic rate tax on monetary donations. This adds approximately 28% to the value of any gift given, so for every pound donated, the charity will receive an extra 28p from the Inland Revenue.

The Edinburgh International Science Festival is run by the Edinburgh Science Foundation, which is a registered charity. All ticket prices for the City Art Centre include a 10% donation, which means every pound you donate will be worth £1.28 to us through this scheme. These donations allow us to make the Science Festival more accessible to those on lower incomes.

Gift Aid is only eligible to UK taxpayers, so if you do not pay tax or do not wish to make a charitable donation to the Foundation then the City Art Centre ticket prices will be as follows:
Adults: (£5.90); Concessions: (£4.54); Children 7+: (£7.72); Children 3-6: (£4.54).
