OPEN INNOVATION

As part of a new international project, with nine European partners and funding from European Union Interreg IVB NW Europe, Edinburgh International Science Festival is pleased to be working as part of the City of Edinburgh Council's Local Innovation Partnership.

Over three years, the partnership will deliver a programme of activities to companies, entrepreneurs, inventors, universities, academics and local communities.

Other organisations involved in the Edinburgh Local Innovation Partnership are:

SPINSIGHT LTD

PROFESSOR VICKI STONE

Vicki started out with a general interest in biomedecine but has built a distinguished career looking at the molecular and cellular aspects of disease, rather than looking at the whole organism. At Edinburgh Napier University, she is responsible for directing research into the toxicology of nanoparticles and air pollutants, concentrating on the mechanism by which they cause adverse health effects in humans and other species.
