Our Science Selection-Box for Gismo & Gadget Lovers!
Okay, whilst a cyanide-tipped, nerve-triggered, dart-shooting device is unlikely to be ‘in the stores for Christmas’, there are a lot of cool bond-like gismos and gadgets out there to choose from! This week we take a look at just a few, guaranteed to light up gadget-lover’s eyes as the wrapping paper is ripped and ravaged come Christmas morning!...Well who wouldn’t be excited to receive a water jet pack?!

The End is...Well...Here!
And so we’re about to bid maasalama to Abu Dhabi. The Edinburgh Team Leaders have packed up their shows and said goodbyes to the local Science Communicators. Everyone’s soaking up enough sunshine to get them through to April and taking advantage of the last bit of Arabic hospitality (which mainly means polishing off the breakfast buffet).

Abu Dhabi: Opening Day
So, yesterday the doors opened on Abu Dhabi Science Festival. The Edinburgh Team Leaders were feeling quietly confident: we’d trained our science communicators, cleaned our stations and, we thought, we’d done this before.
Abu Dhabi Blog: Training Weekend
The preparations are all coming together. Team leaders have got their scripts, received instructions and are currently panic-buying sunscreen and working out at what temperature Scottish skin actually melts. Before we all head off to Abu Dhabi, land of sun, sand and a shiny new science festival, we all met in one place last weekend for training.
