Competition Time: Tiny Explanations of Very Big Ideas!

By Josephine Power on Sat 31 March 2012

Want to win tickets to upcoming Science Festival event Tweeting the Universe, as well as the fantastic book of the same name? This fun twitter-based competition challenges you to condense your cleverness to just 140 characters.  In the book Tweeting the Universe, science writers Marcus Chown and Govery Schilling answer some of the universe's big questions in tweet format! In just 140 characters they've tackled everything from The Big Bang to The Big Dipper!

We're challenging you to do the same...

Simply answer the following in 140 characters or less!

What is Life? The Universe?...& Everything?

To enter tweet your answers @Edscifest starting with the following hasttags:

        #LifeIs

        #UniverseIs

        #EverythingIs

Your answers can be profound, moving, factual, humorous or just straight-up silly!

The best answer for each question will win a copy of the book Tweeting the Universe and 2 tickets for the Science Festival show (Tweeting the Universe) next Saturday 7 April in The National Museum of Scotland!

Not on Twitter? No problem, you can post your answer on the competition posting on our Facebook page or alternatively email to marketing@scifest.co.uk. Please note though your answer must be no more than 140 characters (inclusive of hashtag intro) to be valid.

Deadline for entry is 2pm Thursday 5 April and winners will be announced shortly after.

*note to Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Fans 42 is not a winning answer!
