Generation Science in classroom

Alongside the festival activities our Education programme operates all year round. A key part of our activities is Generation Science which helps bring science to life in classrooms all over Scotland.

Generation Science shows tour all over Scotland, bringing educational and entertaining performances and hands-on activities to your classroom. We have an incredible 22 years’ experience of bringing science to life for school pupils – since we started, we’ve reached more than a million pupils.

We constantly develop our shows to meet the needs of teachers in line with the Curriculum for Excellence, and consistently receive great feedback. Our aim is to improve the teaching of science in Scottish primary schools and support teachers to deliver the curriculum. In essence, we make learning and teaching science fun. We can work with schools on science weeks, transition projects or individual science days.

This year, we’re presenting two revised versions of our extremely popular Fizz, Boom, Bang workshop so it can be enjoyed by younger pupils and older pupils alike, as well as introducing the Space Base show as a brand new addition to the programme. You can find further information on these activities, alongside some Generation Science favourites like Little Giants and Body Builders, in the brochure.
