We have an incredible 23 years' experience in delivering science education activities in schools and since we started we've reached more than a million pupils.
A key part of our education programme is Generation Science, which visits schools across Scotland from February to May each year. These interactive shows and workshops are designed to bring science to life in the classroom. We also work in partnership with Diabetes Scotland to deliver Live For It!, a health education programme designed to help tackle childhood obesity and highlight the possible risks of developing Type 2 diabetes in later life.
All our Generation Science shows and workshops, and the Live For It! programme, ar linked to the experiences and outcomes of the Scottish Government's Curriculum for Excellence. See the individual event listings for details of which strands of our activities are linked to.
Our aim is to improve the teaching of science in Scottish primary schools and support teachers to deliver the curriculum. We constantly develop our activities to meet the needs of teachers in line with the Curriculum for Excellence, and consistently receive great feedback. We can work with schools on science weeks, transition projects or individual science days.
In essence, we make learning and teaching science fun!
