Forests

Did you know?... Deforestation causes soil erosion which contributes to increases in flooding and landslides. It also causes atmospheric pollution.

As well as endangering the environment for humans, deforestation also affects forest habitats. Less forests means a reduction in biodiversity of plants and animals, some of which we may not have yet discovered.

Tropical rainforests are the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth, yet some scientists estimate we could be losing over 100 species every day as a result of deforestation.
