Bush Viper

Did you know?... "Bush viper" is the commonly used name for the atheris, which is a genus of venomous snake native to sub-Saharan Africa.

All species have a wide, triangular head, a broad snout and large eyes.

Bush vipers live in trees, often in the rainforest. Their prey includes frogs, lizards, birds and rodents which they catch by hanging from tree branches.
