Each year we deliver the UK’s largest Science Festival with over 270 events for families and adults. Our vibrant and varied programmes include everything from fun family days out to talks and discussions from pioneering thinkers. Family festivalgoers can enjoy six floors of sensational science at City Art Centre, world class theatre at Summerhall and a host of hands-on activities and more at the National Museum of Scotland and our other partner venues across Edinburgh. Our exciting adult programme of discussions, workshops, performances, screenings, special events and exhibitions feature everything from science themed parties to experimental food events creating unforgettable festival experiences.
Our 2016 Festival is now over. We embarked on a voyage of discovery from 26 March–10 April, bringing a vibrant and varied programme of events to venues across Edinburgh to explore how science, technology, engineering and design have the potential to improve the world we live in and the way we live within it.
Our next Festival will take place from 1–16 April 2017 when we will be exploring the intersection of science and technology with the digital and creative industries in the Information/Digital age through our programme theme Our Connected World. We'll be launching the programme for the Festival in February 2017, but in the meantime you can download a copy of our 2017 Festival descriptor from the link below to find out more about our plans.
