Fuselab Go toured a series of innovation and creativity ‘boot camps’ across Scotland in 2015. The project took 245 young people aged 15-18 out of their classrooms and over two days of intensive workshops, presentations and activities, they learnt how to expand their ideas and build the skills and confidence to help them thrive in a fast moving future.
Participants were challenged to come up with innovations to aid the development of a sustainable way of life on a new planet, free from the constraints of the systems and structures that exist here on Earth. They worked in groups to come up with potential solutions and developed their ideas with support from mentors – local experts who brought expertise in engineering, product and graphic design, business strategy and marketing – as they worked towards a final pitch where they presented their innovations in a dragon’s den style finale.
The 2015 tour visited the following locations:
The Fuselab Go tour was the latest version of the Fuselab project, which was originally launched as a four-day residential experience in Edinburgh back in July 2013, when 80 young people completed the first two sessions.
