The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) was founded in the 17th century as a physic garden. It now extends over four gardens, boasting a rich living collection of plants.
The Botanics is a world-renowned centre for plant science and education, aiming to explore and explain the world of plants for a better future.
Most Science Festival events take place at the John Hope Gateway, accessible from Arboretum Place or via the Garden through the East Gate on Inverleith Row. For Inverleith House and the Glasshouses, follow the signs from either entrance.
