12 Years to Save the Planet
Saturday 6 April
In 2018, top environmental scientists issued a final call to save the world from catastrophic climate change. They argue 'rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society' are necessary to prevent global temperatures from rising more than 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. Edinburgh Science director Dr Simon Gage chairs our panel of climate experts and figures from the worlds of energy and industry, including Siemens managing director Steven Scrimshaw, Prof Geoff Simm from the Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Security Edinburgh, and climate change policy specialist Ragne Low. Join us to hear the experts propose their plans for combatting this complex issue.
