Air Pollution – Seeing the Invisible

About the event

As part of Elements of #EdSciFest, our Festival programme partner Dynamic Earth (the UK’s only Earth science centre), have developed a range of new resources called #DynamicEarthOnline.

Have you ever wondered how scientists study harmful air pollution when they can't always see it? Although the pollutants can be invisible, we often see their impact on our own health and the environment around us. Discover some of the tools they use to understand the sources and effects of this problem and carry out your own air quality investigations by downloading our activity sheet.

Operation Earth

This activity and background information came from the Operation Earth Programme.

Operation Earth is a national programme run by ASDC that engages, inspires and involves school-age children and their families with NERC’s world-leading environmental science research. The programme highlights the relevance of contemporary environmental science issues to everyone’s daily lives and to society's future.
