About the event
Join our data science team and help us stop a gang of rhino poachers. In this live and interactive event you'll use data science skills to analyse security camera data from an African national park.
This fun and educational event blends storytelling and digital skills. It’s based on a real life case study where conservationists and technologists in South Africa are using artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things to help save endangered wildlife.
Let’s work together to use our technology skills to save the rhinos!
The event is suitable for participants aged 10+. No prior knowledge of data science or computer programming is needed. The live activity will work using a desktop web browser and will not require any additional software to be installed.
Please note that your name and email address details will be shared with Digital Skills Education for the purposes of sending you joining instructions and pre-arrival information ahead of this online event.
