Dr Stirlingshire’s Discovery

Previews Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April, Performances Tuesday 4–Sunday 9 April

Cryptozoologist Dr Vivien Stirlingshire travels the world seeking out hidden and, as yet, undiscovered animals – the ones that they tell you aren’t really there. You know the type: the Yeti or that Loch Ness Monster. She is unveiling her latest discovery at the world famous Edinburgh Zoo where her brother Henry, the Zoo Manager, has organised a grand welcoming party, but really he believes his sister has an overactive imagination.

This brand new family friendly show by Grid Iron and Lung Ha Theater Company takes you on a journey throughout the zoo, where you will meet various characters and various forms of life, from squabbling zoo guides to dancing penguins to…. Well, truth is Dr Stirlingshire doesn’t know what to call it yet. Maybe you can think of a name for the ….???

This is a promenade performance that takes place both so dress warmly and for wet weather. All performances are relaxed and there is a BSL signed performance on Wednesday 5 April.

Dr Stirlingshire’s Discovery is supported by Creative Scotland.

Presented by RZSS Edinburgh Zoo, Grid Iron and Lung Ha Theatre Company
