About the event
If you’re anything like us, you probably love dinosaurs more than most people. Why wouldn’t you? The variety, the power, the mystery – there’s nothing about dinosaurs that isn’t amazing! One person who shares our love of dinosaurs is zoology correspondent and writer, Jules Howard.
A contributor to several Edinburgh Science Festivals, Jules is an avid fossil collector, and an expert in spotting signs of all sorts of prehistoric life in his surroundings. He has collected hundreds upon hundreds of fossils which will be ready to dole out to passionate palaeontologists at future festivals – and if that isn’t an exciting reason to come and see his shows, we don’t know what is!
In the meantime, though, Jules has also put together some awesome digital dino content that you can try at home.
PC download (free):
The PC version of PalaeoLab normally costs £20, but at the time of writing Jules has made it free of charge so you can learn about all things dinosaur while you might be stuck at home!
Android download (£0.99):
All proceeds from purchases of the Android version of the PalaeoLab app go to Trowel Blazers, a celebration of women archaeologists, palaeontologists and geologists.
If you have a Google Cardboard, you can watch the following videos which Jules made especially for them. If you don’t have one, take a look online to see if there is one that suits your style and budget – they can be used for all sorts of cool free VR experiences!
