Edinburgh International Science Festival is an annual two-week festival that runs over the Easter holidays. Our programme includes over 200 events in a variety of formats: from shows and performances to talks, discussions and debates, interactive workshops, drop-in activities and exhibitions. These events happen at venues in and around Edinburgh. We welcome all visitors to our events and make every effort to ensure that the activities in our programme are as accessible as possible.
Using our website

In Internet Explorer, you can change the accessibility options for our site, overriding the font, style and colour if necessary:

The Science Festival programme is launched in February each year, and from this time full event listings are available in our brochure and on our website. If you would like to receive a copy of our brochure in a different format, please contact email@example.com or call 0131 553 0325. Please note that we may require additional time to produce these materials.
Science Festival events are held at various venues in and around Edinburgh, and some of these venues change from year to year. A complete list of Festival venues will be available in our brochure and on our website once the programme has launched. Specific access information for each of the Festival venues is available in our online venue listings.
Tickets for events go on sale from the programme launch date. They can be purchased as follows:

In person – visit our Box Office at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Shop, 180 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1QS.
Where we have events running in auditorium style venues, seats are usually unreserved. However wheelchair users, people with severe mobility difficulties or with visual or hearing impairment can reserve seats/space in the area of the venue most appropriate to their needs. We also issue free tickets for carers where required. To enable us to determine your requirements and assist you fully we are unable to offer an online reservation service for these tickets. If you wish to attend an event and require interpreting using British Sign Language, please let us know by emailing EmmaMackenzie@scifest.co.uk with the name and date of the event along with details of any bookings you may have made at least 2 weeks prior to the event, and we will endeavor to support this. In the situation where we cannot provide an interpreter, we will let you know as soon as possible and will refund any tickets purchased should you no longer wish to attend.
We offer free companion/personal assistant/support worker passes for anyone with a disability who requires assistance to attend a performance.
