Go Digital! Digital Immersive Experience

Edinburgh Science is seeking expressions of interest to create a new live immersive experience with a digital aspect as part of the 2020 Edinburgh Science Festival.

In 2020 the Science Festival explores the theme ‘Elementary’,using the ancient classifications of Earth, Air, Fire Water and Aether as a way to explore some of the biggest global environmental challenges and opportunities.

We live in the Information Age and under the Aetherstrand of our programme Edinburgh Science Festival will in 2020 Go Digital!, exploring ways we can use digital and creative technologies to innovate our programme. Our aim is to introduce more technology, engineering and design into the Festival on a permanent basis through online content, augmented live events and new art.

What we are looking for

We have an exciting opportunity to get involved with Edinburgh Science Festival. We are seeking expressions of interest to create a new Digital Immersive Experience as a headline event at the Edinburgh Science Festival. This event experience must have a live aspect and will bring our audience into a physical space but will use digital and creative technologies, tools and techniques to augment the live experience and enhance our audience’s interaction with/experience of science-themed content.

We especially encourage applications from creators based in Scotland but this call is open to anyone, anywhere.
