Development Officer (Fundraising)

£23,460 - £26,419 per annum, plus benefits Full-time, Permanent

Each year Edinburgh Science delivers one of Europe’s largest science festivals, a primary school education programme across Scotland, a careers event for secondary school pupils and a variety of international programming activities and projects.  We believe in inspiring, encouraging and challenging people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and understand the world around them.

About the role:

We are pleased to be expanding the Development Team to recruit an additional Development Officer. As part of our Development (Fundraising) team, you will seek out, identify and secure financial support from a range of sources including companies, trusts and individuals with a focus on developing giving circles across funding streams. You will also develop and strengthen relationships with existing funding partners, delivering the highest level of service.

About you:

With experience in a fundraising, sponsorship or sales environment, you will have experience of making successful funding applications and hold a good working knowledge across one or several funding streams.  You will be pro-active, enthusiastic, target driven and play a key role in delivering the organisation’s fundraising targets.

You will have a flexible, creative and collaborative approach, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and multi task while working under pressure.
