About the role(s):
We are building a pool of enthusiastic Science Communicators to support us in the delivery of Edinburgh Science workshops and activities throughout the year for our community-based projects and programmes, as they arise. High quality science communication is at the heart of what Edinburgh Science is all about and our Science Communicators are our ambassadors.
About you:
You are a confident presenter with excellent communication skills, enabling you to confidently interact with both colleagues and the public. Additionally, you demonstrate the ability to stay composed and calm even in high-pressure situations. You will be a quick learner, comfortable with scientific information, and have some experience working with children and families. Previous experience in Science Communication would be beneficial as would experience working in education or learning support, or a background in theatre and performing arts. Enthusiasm and passion are key as is an ability to work hard during a variety of different projects.
