Edinburgh International Science Festival and Elgin Energy announce new partnership

Posted: 11 December 2017

We are delighted to announce a new four-year partnership between Edinburgh International Science Festival and Elgin Energy, which will see all schools in Moray receive a Generation Science lesson. This long-term commitment will enable the Science Festival to break down economic and geographic barriers to participation and inspire the next generation of STEM professionals across the entirety of these key areas.

Elgin Energy, a solar Photovoltaic developer in the UK and Ireland, believes in promoting education in science, engineering and technology for children and young people to promote future learning choices and career opportunities. They are also committed to investing in the communities where they operate and are currently developing a 20MW Solar PV farm at Speyslaw in Moray. Once energised, the project will generate enough low carbon electricity to power in the region of 6,000 households.
