Join the audience at our scratch theatre night

Posted: 26 August 2016

On Wednesday 14 September we’ll be presenting our first ever scratch theatre night as part of our Science in the Spotlight project and tickets for the event are available now.

Launched as part of the 2016 Edinburgh International Science Festival, Science in the Spotlight brings together the wonder of theatre and the explosive world of science communication. So far it has produced two high quality pieces of theatre for families that take a fresh approach to science as a part of the action, and we are now offering a new platform for people to experiment with science in theatre at our first scratch theatre night on Wednesday 14 September at the Scottish Storytelling Centre.

The evening will feature a programme of short excerpts of new work which showcases science and technology in new and innovate ways across a range of topics – from consumption to contamination, social media and space travel. These specially selected artists will perform to an audience including theatre makers, scientists and science communicators and we have also made a limited number of tickets available for the public.

The event takes place from 6pm on Wednesday 14 September at the Scottish Storytelling Centre. It is free to attend but a ticket is required; click the link below to visit the Scottish Storytelling Centre’s website to book tickets.
