Science opportunities for young people

Posted: 03 October 2017

Our Generation Science team are working at full pelt getting exciting, interactive science lessons booked into primary schools all over Scotland from early next year. They key goals of our Generation Science programme are to get pupils out of their seats and engaged in some hand-on science lessons!

Know a school that might be interested? We would love to chat to them – ring us on 0131 553 0321, email us at generationscience@scifest.co.uk or download our programme today.

N.B. We’ve just extended our application deadline for Science Communicators, to deliver our wonderful workshops! If you’ve got a flair for acting, or want to get experience in a classroom, apply online by midnight, Sunday 8 October.

Another young people project currently on our science radar is our brand-new youth consultation group! We’re looking for creative 12 – 18 year olds to join our group, and meet once a month to help us make the Science Festival fit with them and their friends.

Know someone who would like free events tickets, and the experience of working with one of Edinburgh’s key festivals? Send them our way by Thursday 12 October!

Read the full background at sciencefestival.co.uk/youth-consultation-group, and email us at youth@scifest.co.uk, or send a text, whatsapp or video message to 07960561411 telling us why you want to be involved
