Edinburgh Science is a dynamic educational charity. Each year we deliver one of Europe’s largest science festivals, a primary school education programme that tours Scotland-wide and a variety of international programming activities and projects. We believe in inspiring, encouraging and challenging people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and understand the world around them.
We are committed to equal opportunity and to a culture that respects difference. This is a key employment value to which all employees are expected to give their support. As an employer, we can play a leading part in the promotion and application of best practice in the areas of Diversity and Equality.
We are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed organisation and we aim to successfully employ and retain disabled people and those with health conditions.
As users of the disability symbol, we offer a guaranteed interview to all disabled applicants who meet the vacancy minimum criteria for an advertised role. The general level of competence is set out in the job description/person specification of each individual vacancy profile.
Edinburgh Science is committed to supporting upcoming talent and encouraging those who wish to build a career in science communication, events or festival management. As such, we are able to offer a limited number of placements each year to students in full time education that are interested in learning more about a particular area of our business.
