City Art Centre
During the Science Festival the City Art Centre is transformed into a spectacular science playground offering family entertainment over six floors. A day pass to City Art Centre allows entry to the venue where you can explore a variety of sensational science workshops, demonstrations and drop-in interactive events. City Art Centre is also the venue for the Science Festival Lates event where we open up all the interactive activities to just adults for one night only.
Located in the heart of Edinburgh, the City Art Centre is one of the city's main art galleries. It has one of the best collections of Scottish art and also houses exhibitions from across the world all year round.
The venue has a cafe on the ground floor and there is a packed lunch area within the building. There is also a cloakroom and buggy park where items can be left at the owners risk.
This venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users with an accessible toilet on site. There is a lift and escalators to help you move around the floors and guide dogs are welcome in the building.
You can travel to City Art Centre on the following Lothian Buses services: 5, 7, 8, 45, 49.
Many of our venues in and around the city centre are easily accessible on foot and by public transport so please consider the environment when planning your travel to and from our events. Public transport information is available from Traveline Scotland - travelinescotland.com and 0871 200 22 33 - 24 hours a day.
