Dynamic Earth is a 5 star visitor experience which invites you to take a journey through time to witness the story of planet Earth. It features a series of interactive exhibits, state of the art technology and even a 4D encounter in which you will feel the heat of a bubbling volcano, face the chill of polar ice and fly across the globe before crash landing in a tropical rainforest. Dynamic Earth is also home to Scotland’s only 360 degree full dome film theatre and shows a variety of films throughout the year.
Dynamic Earth is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramp access up to the entrance of the building and lifts throughout to navigate through the exhibition, and to gain access to and from the car park. Additionally, there are disabled toilet facilities on both sides of the building. Assistance dogs are permitted in all areas of the attraction, however please be aware that some of the galleries have loud noises and flashing lights within them.
Please note that we do operate strobe lighting within some of the galleries, which could affect epilepsy sufferers. Our guides are aware of all of these areas and can assist and advise visitors of their presence.
You can travel to Dynamic Earth on Lothian Buses services: 6, 35, 60.
