National Museums Collection Centre
The National Museums Collection Centre at Granton, Edinburgh, provides a home for many of the objects and specimens that are not currently on display. The collections are so extensive, only a small proportion can ever be shown at once. From Moby the whale to dinosaur bones, from motorbikes to traction engines – the material gathered here is as diverse as it is vast.
Some of the collection buildings have lifts and disabled toilets are available in buildings 1 and 14.
You can travel to the National Museums Collection Centre on the following Lothian Buses services: 8, 16, 24, 32, 47.
Many of our venues in and around the city centre are easily accessible on foot and by public transport so please consider the environment when planning your travel to and from our events. Public transport information is available from Traveline Scotland - travelinescotland.com and 0871 200 22 33 - 24 hours a day.
